Cousiño Macul was part of the reception of the Technical Committee of the Best Sommelier of the Americas 2022 Competition

At the event, guests tasted different labels from our winery, from old vintages to our Iconic Wine, Lot a.
Over drinks we welcomed the Technical Committee of the Best Sommelier of the Americas 2022 Competition , at a dinner organized by our winery. During the event, guests shared and tasted different labels from the winery. in the company of Verónica Cousiño, Commercial Manager of Viña Cousiño Macul and part of the seventh generation working in the family business.
The participants enjoyed the cuisine of the La Mesa restaurant, accompanied by very unique wines , including two old vintages from our winery: Antiguas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon from the 1989 harvest and Isidora Riesling from the 2008 harvest. In addition, they tasted our renowned Finis Terrae White Blend wine – awarded for the second consecutive year as Best White Blend in the Descorchados 2022 Guide- and our iconic wine, Lota.
Veronica Cousiño He valued the instance and commented that “We are extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to share with so many professionals from various countries on our continent . A very special atmosphere was created, with wine as a common passion . After all these years of working in the industry, I never cease to be surprised by the pleasant conversations that arise around this drink.”
The competition , which was initially to be held in the city of Concepción, It was finally held in Santiago, with the winner being the Argentine Sommelier, Valeria Gamper , who secured her place to participate in the Best Sommelier in the World Competition in 2023.
