Great scores for Cousiño Macul in the 2022 Tim Atkin MW Report

On this occasion, the renowned British Master of Wine visited our vineyard in Macul and evaluated 6 wines from our portfolio, where Lota and Jardín de Macul Cabernet Sauvignon stood out.
Great news for our consumers! In its new 2022 Report on Chilean wines, the outstanding Master of Wine, Tim Atkin , gave our wines high marks.
On this occasion, the British critic visited our vineyard in Macul, where he was able to tour our historic winery and new plantations, as well as taste six labels from our portfolio.
Among the wines highlighted in the report are our Iconic wine Lota , which was included in the list of Red Wines of the Year in the category Bordeaux Blends . Likewise, our Macul Cabernet Sauvignon Garden stood out in the list of Red Wines of the year in the category Cabernet Sauvignon .
Our scores
Topping the list is our Iconic Lota Wine , 2018 vintage, which obtained for the second consecutive year 96 points . This Bordeaux blend contains 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot.
Our Macul Garden line also obtained outstanding scores. Macul Garden Cabernet Sauvignon , 2018 vintage, received 95 points , while that Macul Merlot Garden , also 2018 vintage, obtained 94 points . The grapes for these wines come from the best and oldest Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines of Cousiño Macul, planted in 1932 and 1981, respectively.
Continue on our list W [Double U:] 2019 harvest, with 93 points . The grapes for this wine come 100% from our vineyard in Paine and it stands out for its marked notes of ripe red and black fruits.
For its part, our emblematic wine Old Reserves Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 vintage -present for more than 90 years in our portfolio- and Isidora Riesling 2020 harvest, received 91 points .
