Our Isidora Riesling wine was awarded on the podium as “ Value White Wine of the Year” , while our Icon Wine, Lota, stood out with 96 points.

We begin this year with great news for our consumers. In a new edition of his annual report, the renowned British Master of Wine, Tim Atkin, awarded excellent scores to the labels presented by Viña Cousiño Macul.

Topping our scores is our Iconic Wine Burbot 2014 harvest, with 96 points . This blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot comes from the best and oldest plots of our vineyard in Macul, specifically from vines planted in 1932 and 1981 respectively. “ Ripe, structured and complex, with tasty tannins,” said Tim Atkin in his report.

Another of Cousiño Macul's recognitions this year goes to our Isidora Riesling 2019 harvest, a label that obtained 90 points and was awarded on the podium as “Value White Wine of the Year”. Without a doubt, one of our consumers' favorites over the years.

The list of the Chile 2021 Report continues with another outstanding blend from our portfolio: Finis Terrae Red Blend 2015 harvest, with 93 points . This blend, composed of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot and 12% Syrah, is a clear reflection of the terroir of the Maipo Valley.

Two Cabernet Sauvignons also stood out among the scores. The first one is W [Double U:] 2017 harvest, with 92 points . This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from 100% grapes from our vineyard in Buin. It is followed by a classic from Viña Cousiño Macul: Old Reserves Cabernet Sauvignon , 2018 vintage, with 91 points .

Our white wines were not left behind! Finis Terrae Premium White Blend 2018 harvest, stood out with 91 points . This elegant blend is made up of three white grape varieties: 58% Chardonnay, 28% Riesling and 14% Viognier. The result is a blend of surprising aromatic complexity.

Closing the list with 90 points You will find our elegant Sauvignon Blanc from grapes from the Malleco Valley: Moon Drop 2019 harvest.

We congratulate our Winemaking Team for these outstanding scores! We continue to work day after day to fulfill our mission: to produce elegant, unmistakably Chilean and world-class wines.
