Harvest in Cousiño Macul, how are our 2021 wines coming?

Season 2020 – 2021, a year of very good quality

Rosario Palma, Head Winemaker at Viña Cousiño Macul , comments that the 2020-2021 season was characterized by “normal grape development, even budding, on time and without frost. In the summer, although there were high temperatures, they were not extreme.” Thanks to these conditions, We had higher yields than the previous year and the quality of the grapes was very good.

However, The season was not without its challenges. The last week of January an unusual rain fell in the central-southern area of ​​Chile that It didn't affect us much , just a small part of our Syrah, but We managed to control it in time to get out of the situation . The rest of the varieties were not affected.
