Viña Cousiño Macul chosen as 'Vineyard of the Year' in Guía Descorchados 2023!

We begin the last quarter of 2022 with great news for our consumers. With great joy we want to share with you that our vineyard was awarded as 'Vineyard of the Year' by the influential Descorchados wine guide, headed by the journalist and wine critic, Patricio Tapia.

This decoration undoubtedly makes us proud, not only because of the relevance that it has at the industry level in Chile and Latin America , but also because it tells us that we are doing a good job.

With more than 160 years of history dedicated to wine production, our path has been marked by various milestones, such as the launch of our emblematic line Antigua Reservas in 1927 , the presentation of the first Premium Red Blend of Chile with Finis Terrae in 1994, the launch of our Lota Icon Wine in 2006 and of course, the inauguration of our Production Plant in Paine with cutting-edge technology in 2001 . Today we add another milestone to this journey and we continue with our mission more present than ever: produce world-class wines, authentically Chilean and with the unique character that the Maipo Valley gives us.

Over the last few years we have developed new projects, all conceived from the innovation . New plantations , important advances in sustainability and constant improvements in our production areas are just some of the actions in which we have highlighted and we see how they have borne fruit.

In addition to highlighting our work as a vineyard, Patricio Tapia carries out a final tasting every year with the best Cabernet Sauvignon and Red Blends presented for the guide, in which this year two of our wines obtained outstanding scores and received important awards in its category .

• Burbot, Icon Wine: Awarded as Best Red , Best Cabernet Sauvignon and Best Maipo Andes, with 98 points.
• Jardín de Macul Merlot: Awarded for the second time as Best Merlot , with 96 points.
